To make a payment using this site, click on the "Utility Payments/Account Information" link under Available Services located in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Payments can be made with either a Visa, Mastercard, or Debit Card.
To access your account for the first time through this payment site you will need your numerical account number, eg. 123-4567891-00, and the last payment amount paid on your account. This is typically $116.82 per quarterly billing for a single-family residence.
Please note, we also offer auto payments directly from your Bank Account, please contact the office at 916-786-8555 and we will assist you with the setup.
The monthly sewer service charge is $38.94 per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) which is the typical volume & strength of wastewater generated by a single-family home. The District recently completed a Cost of Service Study for Wastewater Rates and adopted Ordinance 23-01 Relating to Monthly Service Charges. The District bills on a quarterly basis in accordance with the following schedules:
Cycle 1 (95677 zip code area ) receives their quarterly billing: 07/01 - 10/01 - 01/01 - 04/01
Cycle 2 (95765 zip code) receives their quarterly billing: 02/01 – 05/01 – 08/01 – 11/01
Cycle 3 (95650, 95746, 95663, 95658 zip code) receives their quarterly billing: 03/01 – 06/01 – 09/01 – 12/01
Late fees are used to recover costs incurred by late payments. Any utility account that has a past due balance will be assessed a late fee in the amount of $7.50 per EDU/per Quarterly Billing. Late fees will appear on the next quarterly bill following the late occurrence.
The District offers a Low-Income Lifeline (LIL) Rate Assistance Program for qualifying eligible property owners. (Eligibility is based upon ownership of the property and proof of participation in the PG&E CARE Program.)
This program offers a $5 per month reduction in sewer service charges. You may download the application form on the District website under the Customer Service Tab http://spmud.ca.gov/customer-service/. The program is limited by Ordinance #17-04 to the first 500 customers. If you have any questions please contact our Administrative Services staff for further information.
